Located at 2560 Ag Center Drive, Woodstone Meadows Stable is an exclusive partner of Massanutten Resort and offers exciting horseback riding lessons and trail rides to its visitors. The horses kept at Woodstone Meadows are extremely trail-wise, making this an inviting activity for new and experienced equestrians alike. Friendly and knowledgeable instructors take time to make sure riders are comfortable around the horses as well as with the basics before hitting the trails. These one-hour trail rides take visitors around the scenic base of Massanutten Mountain, creating an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Riders do need to be at least 10 years old to enjoy this excursion and booking a ride in advance is recommended. That said, Woodstone Meadows Stable offers rides year-round weather permitting. Helmets are both required and provided during trail rides. When the ride is done, guests can take time to explore the stable’s petting farm where they can get up close to everything from sheep and donkeys to ducks, pigs, goats, and more! At this location, group trail rides are $60 and private trail rides are available for $110. A visit to the petting farm is $10 while pony rides on-site are $10 as well.
Jordan Hollow Stables
Just northeast from central Massanutten, visitors can enjoy horseback riding with Jordan Hollow Stables as well. Located at 657 Pine Grove Road in Stanley, this stable is open Monday through Saturday from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm and offers guided trail rides through scenic Page County. This stable emphasizes Shenandoah Valley experiences for guests 7 and up, with horseback riding Massanutten available to book in advance all year long.
