Enjoy time at ValleyFest This Spring
A getaway to the scenic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia is always exciting for travelers. That said, visitors who are planning on enjoying time here in the spring will have even more to enjoy, particularly if they’re in town over May. This is when the highly anticipated annual event known as ValleyFest comes to Massanutten Resort.
This year, ValleyFest will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023, from noon until 6:30 pm. Set on the slopes of Massanutten Resort, ValleyFest is an experience that combines music, food, and art with proceeds going to a variety of community initiatives that are supported by the Rotary Clubs of Rockingham and Harrisonburg counties alike. Tickets can be purchased early online for $25 a person between February 10th and April 10th. Regular ticket prices are $32 a person and options to purchase at the gate start at $45 per person. If you’re planning to purchase tickets in person, they can be found at the Harrisonburg-Rockingham Chamber of Commerce, The Market, or The General Store.
Guests looking forward to ValleyFest who are in town with kids 10 and under can plan on free entrance for the little ones! While more musical performances are anticipated to be added to the ValleyFest lineup, guests can already look forward to The Barons taking to the stage in style. Originally from Charlottesville, Virginia, The Barons are known for their rock n’ roll to take on themes of love and have released 12 singles to date. While the music at ValleyFest is sure to thrill, guests will also find there are plenty of mouthwatering options on-site when it comes to food vendors as well. Previous years have seen Bayou Kitchen, Sherri’s Crab Cakes, Just Fries, and Posh Fairy Floss Cotton Candy all set up at ValleyFest just to name a few!
A visit to ValleyFest is also an opportunity for guests to browse a variety of arts and crafts vendors. Homemade candles, fair trade apparel, and accessories as well as wreaths, jewelry, yarn, and retail items from Massanutten Resort are all available to purchase during ValleyFest. It’s a spring event Massanutten visitors simply won’t want to miss!
Jazz Night Jams
For travelers who find themselves in the Massanutten area in April, there’s an opportunity to indulge a love for Jazz music. Jazz Night Jams will be in full swing on April 17, 2023, between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm at Three Notch’d Valley Collab House. This recurring spring event is hosted at 241 E. Market Street in nearby Harrisonburg and invites guests to come and enjoy an evening of Jazz and great craft beers to match the moment. $3 pours of Minute Man are available during performances making this night of Jazz as savory as it is fun!
